What is included, which documents you need, who files the customs declaration, cost and what we do not offer.
What do China freight forwarding services include?
China freight forwarding services cover the work on the China side of a shipment. At Al Fajar that means FCL container booking, trucking and loading, export documents, the China customs declaration and updates until the vessel sails. Import clearance at your destination is done by your own broker.
Do I need a freight forwarder to ship from China?
You need one if your supplier sells on FOB or EXW terms, because then the main freight and the China-side steps are yours to arrange. Under these Incoterms somebody must book the container, prepare the papers and declare the export. A forwarder in China does this for you and gives you one point of contact.
Who files the export customs declaration in China?
A licensed customs broker files it with China Customs (GACC), using the commercial invoice, packing list and the correct China HS code. We arrange this for every container we ship and confirm the release before the container is loaded on the vessel.
Which documents do I need to export goods from China?
Most FCL shipments need a commercial invoice, a packing list, the export customs declaration, the bill of lading and a verified gross mass (VGM), which the SOLAS VGM rule has required since 2016. Some countries also ask for a certificate of origin to apply a lower duty rate. We tell you which papers your destination needs before loading.
How much do China freight forwarding services cost?
There is no fixed price list, because FCL rates change with the carrier, the season and the port. The cost depends on the container size, the origin and destination ports, the sailing date and the China-side work. Do you offer air freight or door-to-door delivery?
No. Al Fajar works with sea freight in full containers (FCL) from China only. We do not offer air freight, courier, door-to-door or DDP delivery, and we do not clear goods through customs outside China.
Which countries do you ship to?
We ship FCL from China to any country with a sea port. Popular routes include China to USA, China to UAE, China to Australia and China to UK. If your country is not listed, ask for a quote anyway.
How fast will I receive a quote?
We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday, China time. A message sent on WhatsApp during office hours (09:00–18:00 in Yiwu) usually gets a first answer sooner.
