Not every shipment has the same requirements. Here are the four main shipping arrangements we provide on the China-to-Pakistan route, and when each one applies to your situation.

FCL (Full Container Load)

You book an entire 20ft or 40ft container for your cargo alone. Everything in that container belongs to you, loaded at one factory or consolidated at our Yiwu facility. FCL is the right choice when your shipment volume reaches approximately 15 CBM or more, when you want to minimise co-loading risk, or when you require a dedicated loading inspection before the container is sealed.

Your cargo shares a container with goods from other shippers, and you pay only for the space your goods occupy. LCL is the practical option for importers who don't have enough cargo for a full container, typically below 12–15 CBM. Your goods are consolidated at our Yiwu warehouse alongside other shipments heading to Pakistan, then separated again at the Pakistan port.

Under FOB terms, your Chinese supplier is responsible for the goods until they are loaded onto the vessel at the Chinese port. THE PROCESS

Step by Step: From Factory in China to Your Warehouse in Pakistan

Your Goods Are Ready in China

Once your supplier confirms the goods are ready or you have placed an order through our sourcing service, we begin the China-side process. Our Yiwu team confirms order details with the factory and schedules collection or loading.

China Export Documentation

We prepare or verify the commercial invoice, packing list, and China export customs declaration. Errors in this documentation are the most common cause of shipment delays and port holds. Our team handles this in-house, in Mandarin, before anything moves.

Loading and Consolidation

For FCL shipments, we supervise the factory loading or arrange consolidation at our Yiwu warehouse. For LCL shipments, your cargo is combined with other consignments at our facility and prepared for port delivery. We inspect condition and quantity before the container is sealed or the consignment is handed to the carrier.

Freight from China to Pakistan

Your shipment moves from Ningbo or the relevant Chinese port to Karachi, or by air to the nearest Pakistan international airport. We arrange the freight booking, confirm the vessel or flight, and send you the bill of lading or airway bill once issued. You receive tracking updates throughout transit.

Pakistan Customs Clearance

When your shipment arrives in Pakistan, our licensed team manages the import customs clearance at Karachi Port (KPT), Port Qasim, or Lahore Dry Port depending on your arrangement. We prepare all Pakistan customs documentation, pay applicable duties and taxes on your behalf, and coordinate port release.

Delivery to Your Door

Under DDP arrangements, we coordinate the final delivery from port to your warehouse or premises. For FOB and standard freight arrangements, we confirm when your goods are available for collection or arrange transport as required.

Peak season and port congestion

Chinese New Year (typically January–February) causes significant factory shutdowns and post-holiday port congestion. Pre-peak season demand (August–October) can also delay vessel space. We factor these windows into our planning recommendations.

Documentation completeness

Incomplete or incorrect China export documentation is the most common cause of shipment delays before departure. Incomplete Pakistan import documentation is the most common cause of customs delays on arrival. Our team manages both.

Customs processing at KPT

Pakistan customs processing at Karachi Port can vary from 2 to 10 days depending on cargo category, documentation, and port workload. DDP clients and FCL importers with complete documentation consistently experience faster clearance.
