A Full Container Load booking gives you exclusive use of one shipping container for your cargo. The container is loaded at your supplier’s factory or at our Yiwu consolidation facility, sealed, and shipped directly to Pakistan under your consignment. Nothing else goes in the container. Everything inside belongs to your shipment.

 

For established importers moving consistent volumes from China, FCL is the standard arrangement. The economics improve at volume; the higher the CBM you fill, the lower the effective per-unit freight cost. At this point, the per-CBM cost of booking a full 20ft container typically becomes competitive with LCL shared-container rates, and the operational advantages of exclusive container use are gained without a significant cost premium.

Your cargo is fragile, high-value, or sensitive to co-loading

In an LCL shipment, your goods share a container with other importers' consignments. Forklift damage, compression from adjacent pallets, and moisture exposure from neighbouring cargo are not hypothetical concerns — they are the specific complaints LCL importers raise when shipments arrive damaged. A full container eliminates this risk entirely.

You want direct control over loading

Our Yiwu team can supervise the loading of your FCL container — counting quantities, inspecting packaging, verifying the cargo matches your invoice, and confirming the container is in good condition before sealing. This level of oversight is not available in a consolidated LCL environment where multiple consignments are loaded together.

LCL is better when:

Your volume is below approximately 10–12 CBM. You are testing a new product with a smaller initial order, or your shipment schedule is irregular, and container-level volume commitment does not make sense at this stage.

The most common source of FCL discrepancies, wrong quantities, damaged packaging, and cargo that doesn’t match the invoice, happens at the loading point in China. An importer in Pakistan cannot observe this. The factory or warehouse doing the loading has no direct accountability to the consignee if something goes wrong after the container is sealed and the vessel departs.

When our team is at the loading point, discrepancies are caught before the container leaves, not discovered when it arrives in Karachi. For importers loading at factories located outside YIWU, we coordinate with our network of contacts in the relevant area. For importers using our YIWU consolidation facility, loading happens on our own premises under our team’s direct control.

FCL Container Shipping

FCL (Full Container Load) means you book an entire 20ft or 40ft container exclusively for your cargo. Use FCL when your volume reaches approximately 12–15 CBM or above, when the cargo is fragile and requires exclusive space, or when you ship regularly at container-level volumes.

Three options: 20ft Standard (~25 CBM, max 21,500 kg), 40ft Standard (~56 CBM, max 26,500
kg), and 40ft High Cube (~65 CBM, max 26,500 kg). The HC provides 30cm additional internal
height, suitable for palletized or taller goods.

Sea transit from Ningbo to Karachi is approximately 18–25 days. Door-to-door, including pre-shipment and Pakistan customs, is typically 28–40 days. Chinese New Year disruptions can add 10–14 days for shipments in the January–March window.

A 20ft holds approximately 25 CBM; a 40ft holds approximately 56 CBM; a 40ft HC holds approximately 65 CBM. For planning, use conservative estimates of 23, 53, and 62 CBM to account for the loading configuration.

Yes. Our Yiwu team is present at every FCL loading. We confirm carton count against the
invoice, check packaging condition, verify container condition before stuffing, and confirm the
seal number once loaded. Problems are caught before the container departs for port.

Commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading. Our Yiwu team files the China export
customs declaration. For CPFTA duty relief, your supplier must provide a Form E Certificate of
Origin before loading. Regulated products may require additional Pakistani authority approvals.
